Lets Make it Clear

Leftists in Israel had a gathering to protest the military action of their government. They made the following statements

Stop the war monstrosity
Say no to the brutal bombardments on Gaza.
Peretz, don't worry, we'll be seeing you at The Hague
This is a stupid, unnecessary and evil war
Our leaders could have prevented it, eventually the hostages will be released through negotiations, but hundreds will be killed along the way in Lebanon
The Israeli aggression leads to an overall war no one wants
I think that Israel should negotiate with Hizbullah and Hamas and release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the hostages
there is no military solution. Only negotiations

They also accused Defense Minister Amir Peretz of the ever popular and a protest must have of murdering children in Gaza.

Some of these are trite uninspired mantras that are over used others are statements being made by people who just do not think things through.

“there is no military solution. Only negotiations” Is that like the negotiations that traded settlements in Gaza for peace? Like negotiations that offered the PLO 98% of what they asked for if they would just stop the violence? The only thing negotiations have resulted in is a more determined Terrorist.

“I think that Israel should negotiate with Hizbullah and Hamas and release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the hostages” Releasing thousands of known terrorists for the release of three soldiers is not only a moronic stance, it is a self destructive move. Once released those terrorists would return to their ways, plotting the death of scores of innocent people, going about their daily lives and getting blown up on a bus or in a pizza parlor.

“The Israeli aggression leads to an overall war no one wants” No one but Iran, Syria, Al Qaeda and half the Arab world. Israel is responding to aggression, they are not the aggressors; they are the victims of years and years of state sponsored terrorism. They gave up security to appease the terrorists, to appease the arab world and it only earned them more attacks.

Lets make it clear, Israel has the right, and indeed the duty to stand up for themselves, to fight the terrorist, to fight those who support the terrorists.
