For My Wife

On my Wedding day four years ago I found myself with a few minutes before the ceremony and I penned the following for her.

When

When my eyes close for the night, it is her I see
When I dream, it is her that I see
When I see her smile, I see the sun shine
When I wake, my mind takes me to her
When I hear the clock tick, she is in my head
When I feel my heart beat, it is for her
When I think of her, I feel wonderful
When things seem right it is because of her

Tanya,
I love you more now than ever. You are an inspiration, a joy and wonderful. Thank you for helping me be all that I can and thank you for loving me as much as you do.

USS TEXAS BB-35

After Church I packed up the Evil SUV and took the little vultures down to a place near and dear to my heart. We went to visit USS TEXAS BB-35. TEXAS has been a museum since the 1950s when school children raised money to save her from the ship breakers.

She is moored at the San Jacinto Battlefield Park. She is in great shape for a ship that is 93 years old.
