1,000,000+ Sex Offenders?

No we are not referring to the new Dutch Political Party.  We are talking about a recent report by Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta.  She had analyzed 1,500 cases of sexual assault from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants.

Extrapolating the data she concluded that, based on a figure of 12 million illegal immigrants and the fact that most of this population is male than the average population, sex offenders among illegals make up a higher percentage than offenders in the general population.

Let us state this another way, there are more violent sex offenders in the illegal population than in the general population of our country.

Schurman-Kauflin uses what she calls a conservative estimate of 240,000 offenders, derived through public records showing about 2 percent of all illegals apprehended are sex offenders.  "This translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day," she says.  The study had a total of 5,999 victims, which averages to four victims for each illegal alien offender.  The compositions of the assaults are as follows:

525, or 35 percent, were child molestations
358, or 24 percent, were rapes
617, or 41 percent, were sexual homicides and serial murders

Schurman-Kauflin says "This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study."

Victims in the study cases ranged in age from 1 year old to 13 years old, with the average age being 6, yes, six yeas old.   About 22 percent of the victims were targeted because they had mental or physical defects.  Most of the murdered victims were bludgeoned; the second largest cause of death was stabbing.  6 percent of all the victims were not just murdered but mutilated.  

Ms. Schurman-Kauflin found that in 82 percent of the cases, the victims were known to their attackers.  "In those instances, the illegal immigrants typically gained access to the victims after having worked as a day laborer at or near the victims' homes,"
More shocking is the statistic that 79 percent of illegal alien offenders, had been in the U.S. for more than one year before being arrested for a sex crime. They typically were known to the criminal justice system for prior, but less serious offenses before they molested, raped or murdered the victims in the study cases.  

Almost 63 percent of the offenders had been deported on lesser offenses prior to their sex crime arrest. It was noted that there was an average of three years of committing DUI, assaults or drug offenses prior to an arrest for sexual offense.  In 81 percent of cases, the offender was drinking or using drugs prior to the assault.

We do recognize that there are sexual assaults committed by far too many Americans, and that needs to be addressed also, however we should stop the inflow of even more people willing to rape and kill out children.

Why are we worried more about guest worker programs, amnesty programs and all the other nonsense when the border is still wide open?  The government, who is supposed to protect us before they do anything else, is wasting time and allowing more and more of these perverts into our midst, while they bicker.  The border needs to be closed, then, and only then, should we work on all other issues with illegal immigration.
