A Rio Grande Rant

No matter how politically correct you want to be you can not change truth. Mexico it seems is furious at tough U.S. law on migrants. THEY ARE NOT MIGRANTS, THEY ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Their glorious leader, President Vicente Fox called recent U.S. measures to stem illegal immigration a step back for bilateral relations on Friday and said Mexican migrants do jobs "that not even blacks want to do."

President Fox, that is inflammatory and racist. Yes I threw down the RACISM CARD. Fox’s remarks are designed to further the theory that blacks are lazy and wouldn’t do manual labor. I have news Mr. Fox, generalizing an entire race for the actions of a few members is racist.

That aside, El Presidente, we do not mind immigration here, we have a whole department to make it happen. What we do object to is the breaking and entering that your population is doing because it seems they can’t live under your rule, they can’t make a wage in your own country so they are fleeing it. Instead of trying to make it easier for them to leave your country and break the laws of mine, WHY DON’T YOU TRY MAKING MEXICO A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE WITH A WORKING ECONOMY!!! Do something in your own country to create jobs for your people. Quit thinking that your escaping citizens have a right to break the law and sneak into the US.

You have oil, privatize that and let them hire people to run the rigs and refinery. Do something to lure manufactures to your country. Round up your gangs so people can walk to work. Do anything but sit on your ass, Mr. President, and complain that the US is being a bully for enforcing the LAW.

Help the people of your country and maybe they won’t have to run away.
